Quick + Simple Valentine Makeup Ideas

Valentines day is coming up! During this season of love these 9 simple makeup ideas and tips are perfect to try out.

1.       Pink Smokey Eye

Seeing as pink is one of the most recognizable colors of the holiday, incorporate it into your eye makeup! Rather than using a darker brown or blacks, using a pink eye shadow can amp up the level of glam with your makeup without being too heavy! Blending a pink shade into your crease will make your eyes pop for sure!

2.       Red Smokey Eye

If the idea of a pink smokey eye doesn’t exactly suit your fancy, another option could be to do a red smokey eye. While this is for sure a much more daring look, without a doubt it packs a punch and a sultry one at that! Using red eye shadow is an inventive way to add a twist to a timeless classic! However, if you are doing a red smokey eye, be sure to neutralize any red elsewhere on your face, as it will bring more attention to it.

3.       A Bold Winged Liner

The winged liner is another classic, and it looks good on every type of face. If you want, you can personalize it by adding a bit of color along the top of the wing! If you’re going on a date that night to a restaurant you can add a color that matches your dress, or if you wanted to add some glam, there are a ton of glitter liners on the market that would work perfectly.

4.       Glitter & Sparkle Eye Shadow

Speaking of glitter, a definite way to add some glam to your valentine’s day makeup would be to add some sparkly eye shadow! The payoff is absolutely worth the effort. You could add any color above a bold winged liner, or you could use it to line your eyes. Another option would be to add glitter on the center of your lid or to the outer corner! Using a colored glitter would bring attention to your eyes, which is perfect considering everyone has to wear a mask nowadays.

5.       Natural Brown Smokey Eye

A brown smokey eye is a classic look but an absolute homerun and is a perfect look to fall back on if you want something that will reliably look amazing, not to mention sultry. Paired with a winged liner, this look is just fancy enough without overwhelming your face.  Using the brown eyeshadow in your crease will open your eyes while still making them pop.

6.       Long Lashes

Add some valentines day drama to your eyes in another way by adding volume and length to your lashes you draw attention to your eyes which is a big plus considering our new masks! Using the right mascara or false lashes you can really pack a punch with this idea.

7.       Pink Blush

during the winter months, everyone loses a bit of their tan, so add the color back in with some blush is a perfect way to make your face look alive and perfectly  flushed on valentines day. A brighter pink is perfect for date during the day, whilst a deeper red can be perfect to add some drama to your face during a late-night dinner.

8.       The bold red lip

In the occasion that you get to take off your mask for a valentines day dinner, a bold red lip is a classic choice that adds the perfect sultry and flirty look to your makeup. When wearing a red lip, be sure to line you lips to make sure the color doesn’t bleed. Another thing to keep in mind that while red lips are an amazing choice, maybe don’t pair this with a red smokey eye I mentioned before. Try to avoid having more than one bright red feature in your valentine’s day makeup as it runs the risk of looking a little overwhelming.  However, if you do go for a rep lip, there is any number of options. You can use a red lipstick or a gloss to achieve this look, and you can go anywhere from glossy to matte! It’s such a classic look, there are thousands of options when it comes to products to use.

9.       Softer Pink Lip

If you still want to wear a lipstick but don’t want to use a red, using a pink or mauve color is also a good option! This accentuates your lips without running the risk of being overwhelming.
